Visual API Testing — No-Code Flow Editor | LoadGen
28 node types, OpenAPI import, environment management, auth profiles. API testing in EUC — what Login VSI and ControlUp don't have.
LoadGen Engineering
Product Strategy
Drag-and-drop 28 node types. Import from OpenAPI. Manage environments and auth. Debug with step-through. What Login VSI, ControlUp, and NeoLoad don't offer in the EUC space.
Why visual API testing?
APIs power your apps. Test them without code.
- No JavaScript required — Unlike k6 or Postman scripts, LoadGen's flow editor is visual. QA and ops teams can build API tests.
- EUC + API in one platform — Load test Citrix, monitor AVD, and API-test your backend — same tool, same dashboard.
- Competitors don't have this — Login VSI, ControlUp, NeoLoad: no API testing. LoadGen bridges IT ops and dev teams.
The three-panel flow editor
NodePalette → FlowCanvas → NodeDetailPanel.
- NodePalette — 28 node types: Request (operation, raw, replay), Assert (status, jsonpath, schema, latency), Auth (bearer, apikey, oauth2), Control (if, switch, loop, parallel, join, delay, retry, error-handler), Data (set, variable, csv, db-lookup), Transform (builtin, js), Subflow (call).
- FlowCanvas — Drag nodes, connect with edges. Visual diagram of your API flow.
- NodeDetailPanel — Configure selected node: URL, headers, body, assertions.
Revision switching, environment dropdown, validation. Run-in-editor, save as revision.
Route: /api-testing/flows/{FlowId}/edit
OpenAPI import — start from spec
- Sources table — Name, Spec URL, Versions, Status, Diff Summary, Impacted Flows
- Version management — Approve new versions, diff viewer, auto-refresh
- Migration — When source updates, flows stay in sync. Migration banner in editor.
Route: /api-testing/sources
Environments & auth profiles
Environments (/api-testing/environments):
- Base URL, headers, variables, secrets
- Allowed hosts
- Add/Edit modal
Auth Profiles (/api-testing/auth-profiles):
- None, Bearer, API Key, OAuth2 (Client Credentials, Auth Code, Password)
- Test credentials before runs
Debug mode — step, resume, abort
- Timeline — Node execution with HTTP status and duration bars
- Events — Event log
- Artifacts — Captured outputs
- Variables — Runtime state
- Debug controls: Resume, Step, Abort
Route: /api-testing/runs/{RunId}
Why competitors don't have this
API testing in EUC — we're the only one.
| Competitor | API Testing |
|---|---|
| Login VSI | No |
| ControlUp | No |
| NeoLoad | Yes (separate product, no VDI) |
| k6 | Yes (code-only, no VDI) |
LoadGen makes you relevant to developer teams, not just IT ops. One platform for load testing, monitoring, and API automation.
